About The Position

The Part Time Universal Banker position is a 20-hour per week role focused on providing timely and efficient client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of monies. The role emphasizes delivering superior quality service by identifying and understanding client financial needs. This position is cross-trained to support sales and service activities, with a focus on assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions (ATMs, Online, Mobile banking) to enhance their service experience.
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities, referring to appropriate specialists.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings and training.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of changes.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
