About The Position

The Universal Banker provides timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and properly handling assigned funds. The role delivers high-quality service by identifying and understanding clients’ financial needs. It is cross-trained to support sales and service activities, particularly outbound client calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The position is in the Charlotte West Area, Mount Holly, and requires Saturday availability. It is a regular position, and English fluency is required.

The Universal Banker engages clients, conducts standardized and more complex transactions, educates clients about digital and self-service banking options, participates in client outreach, and supports the branch sales process. The role also contributes to the bank’s leadership routines and ongoing training, follows operational and risk controls, and serves as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of teller, cash-handling, or client-service experience.
• Six months of client relationship-building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software skills needed for branch automation.
• Ability to multitask under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel as needed to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnight stays may be included.
• English fluency is required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of client relationship-building or sales experience.
• Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
• General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience through courteous engagement and completion of standardized and complex transactions, seeking assistance when needed.
• Educate clients about ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking.
• Support the team sales process through outbound calls, reviewing client offers, identifying client needs and opportunities, fulfilling needs, or referring clients to appropriate branch team members or specialists.
• Support Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise and solutions for clients’ needs.
• Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
• Advance individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
• Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, and stay informed about policy and procedure changes.
• Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offer applicable products and services, and handle a proportionate workload based on branch demands.
