Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage clients effectively.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings, as per business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of two years bank customer contact or retail sales experience preferred.
  • Commercial credit experience

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and establish rapport that encourages further engagement
  • Assist team in achieving branch goals
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Remain flexible to accommodate branch staffing needs
  • Work independently and manage their time
  • Follow policies and procedures, maintain accuracy
  • Follow through on daily, weekly and monthly tasks
  • Contribute to branch meetings and culture
  • Promote products and services based on customer's needs, providing consultative advice and assisting with account opening and maintenance, including consumer loan applications and closings.
  • Support and promote digital banking solutions, assisting customers with setup, troubleshooting, and advice on various digital tools.
  • Process teller transactions, resolve discrepancies, maintain and balance cash drawers, and assist with credit card applications.
  • Handle in-bound and out-bound calls proactively to build relationships, identify opportunities, make product recommendations, and solve issues.
  • Refer customers to business partners to ensure all financial needs are met within Midwest BankCentre.
  • Meet quarterly banker minimum standards, participate in sales, service, and product training meetings, and MBC@Work presentations.
  • Gain knowledge of and adhere to federal banking regulations including BSA, USA Patriot Act, AML, and Notary Public requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to the Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies, and procedures.
