Requirements

  • Some college preferred
  • Experience in consultative selling techniques with the demonstrated ability to listen well and understand individual circumstances to make customized recommendations based on each individual situation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong time value of money comprehension
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of bank products and services
  • Exceptional customer care that satisfies the individual needs of customers and builds loyalty to bank
  • Ability to relate well to customers and coworkers in a positive atmosphere of mutual respect
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming phone calls and resolves customer inquiries
  • Performs all Teller duties including balancing all monies in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Orders cash supply to meet daily needs
  • Prepares and balances ATM
  • Proactively identifies customer needs and matches needs with appropriate products or services, utilizing opportunities to suggest or cross-sell other bank products and services
  • Open new accounts for customers including: checking, savings, CDs, HSA, IRA, safety deposit boxes, Christmas club, business accounts, trusts and estate accounts.
  • RMD’s, distributions and contributions to IRA accounts
  • Handles customer service requests as appropriate, such as address changes, statement deliver options, overdraft services, minor code changes, basic account title changes, debit/credit card requests, etc.
  • Escorts customers to safety deposit box areas as needed
  • Adheres to all required compliance guidelines and bank process and procedures to ensure all audit and quality control reviews are passed
  • Conducts rate surveys and distribution of any changes to employees and customers
  • Informs and helps educate customers on relevant digital and self-service options, with the goal of making it simple and convenient for customer
  • Assist with teller transactions, customer service issues, and any other branch support duties assigned by supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned
