Responsibilities

  • Provides service to all new and existing accounts according to bank policies and procedures.
  • Cashing checks in accordance with financial institution procedures, ensures that funds are appropriately disbursed and collected and completes Hold Notices if needed.
  • Processing deposits and withdrawals to savings, checking accounts, and lines of credit.
  • Transferring money between accounts.
  • Processing transactions such as term deposits, retirement savings plan contributions, automated teller transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits.
  • Assisting customers with Debit Card orders/maintenance.
  • Processing loan payments & payoffs.
  • Issuing cashier’s checks
  • Making cash advances on credit cards
  • Balance and maintain the ATM as assigned or required.
  • Processing customer transactions efficiently, professionally, and accurately.
  • Answers customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Builds exceptional knowledge of products and services to maintain rapport with customers, understand their needs, and provide solutions.
  • Carries out the bank’s customer retention strategies.
  • Completes special customer requests for services such as stop payments, ACH unauthorized requests, EFT disputes, replacement of debit cards or possible fraud on customer’s account.
  • Complies with policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations and obtains necessary approvals and authorizations.
  • Demonstrates awareness, commitment, and dedication to servicing customers and building customer franchise by contributing to sales referrals and cross selling programs by possessing working knowledge of all products and services offered by Millennium Bank.
  • Educates and provides clients with other banking services; resolves client concerns and issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Makes judgments (within limits of authority) pertaining to cashing and/or accepting checks or drafts, solves problems, and assists with complex transactions.
  • Participates in cross-training and sales, service and product training meetings as requested.
  • Promotes leadership skill examples to branch employees; i.e. professional dress, customer service skills, positive attitude, and overall persona of a leader.
  • Provides a complete range of services at the financial institution, including opening new accounts, explaining available financial institution products and services, and gathering customer information to process new and existing accounts as well as provides back up to the assistant branch manager as needed.
  • Knowledgeable of various Federal Regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Regulation E, Regulation CC, etc. and the roles and responsibilities relating to each act.
  • Resolves customer complaints in a tactful, effective manner, and explains financial institution polices.
  • Recognizes cross-selling and referral opportunities and informs customers of other products as indicated.
