About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a part-time role responsible for completing client transactions efficiently and accurately, while providing superior customer service and identifying client needs. This role involves cross-training to support sales and service activities, with a focus on outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM). The Universal Banker will educate clients on digital banking solutions, participate in team sales processes, and adhere to operational procedures and risk management policies. They will also serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of policy changes.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
