About The Position
This role is for an individual with Teller experience looking to advance their financial career. The position requires foundational knowledge of finance and offers opportunities to gain experience in lending and sales. The ideal candidate is outgoing, enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about helping others improve their financial future. The role emphasizes excellent member service, including proactively greeting members and opening new accounts. It also involves accurately processing various member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, wire transfers, official checks, gift cards, and cash advances. Additionally, the role includes researching and resolving member account inquiries and conducting account research. Sales is a key component, requiring team members to cross-sell beneficial products and services and track referrals/sales. Daily responsibilities also include supporting branch operations through end-of-day balancing, scanning checks, providing dual control for vault cash and card supplies, and ensuring the security of confidential information.
Requirements
- 18 months of financial institution or similar industry experience in a retail branch environment.
- A minimum of 6 months opening new accounts.
- Ability to actively cross-sell products & services.
- Strong listening, verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of member information.

- Ability to process consumer loans.
Responsibilities
- Opening new accounts for existing members.
- Accurately processing routine member account transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account transfers, wire transfers, official checks, gift cards, and cash advances.
- Researching and resolving member inquiries and conducting research on member accounts.
- Cross-selling products and services that benefit members.
- Tracking products and services referred or sold.
- Supporting branch operations with end-of-day balancing.
- Scanning checks.
- Providing dual control to balance vault cash and card supplies.
- Totaling branch cash and checking to ensure all confidential information is secure.
