About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a regular, full-time role that requires English fluency and involves working the 1st shift. This role focuses on providing timely and efficient client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of monies. A key aspect of the position is delivering superior client service, identifying and understanding client financial needs, and supporting sales and service activities. This includes assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The position also involves educating clients on digital self-service solutions and participating in team sales processes and leadership routines. Continuous learning and adherence to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies are essential. The Universal Banker also serves as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions (ATMs, Online, Mobile banking).
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, identifying client needs, and referring clients to appropriate specialists.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles.
  • Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through training and meetings.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
