About The Position

The Universal Banker position involves providing timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of all monies. The role requires delivering superior quality service, identifying and understanding client financial needs, and being cross-trained to support sales and service activities, with a focus on outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The position aims to provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs. It also involves educating clients on digital self-service solutions, supporting the team's sales process through client outreach, understanding IRM for seamless delivery of expertise, participating in leadership routines, and committing to continuous learning of products and services. Adherence to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies is crucial. The Universal Banker also serves as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
