About The Position

This is a part-time Universal Banker position requiring 20 hours per week. The role involves completing client transactions efficiently and accurately, providing superior customer service, and identifying client financial needs. The position also requires cross-training to support sales and service activities, with a focus on outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The goal is to deliver a distinctive client experience, educate clients on digital solutions, and support the team's sales process. The role also involves understanding IRM, participating in leadership routines, advancing product knowledge through training, adhering to controls and policies, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions.
  • Support team sales process through outbound calls, checking client offers, and identifying needs or opportunities.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM).
  • Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings and training.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
