About The Position

This part-time Universal Banker position requires 20 hours of work per week. The role involves completing client transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper money handling. A key aspect of the job is delivering superior client service by identifying and understanding their financial needs. The position also involves cross-training to support sales and service activities, with a specific focus on assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The goal is to provide a distinctive client experience, educate clients on digital solutions, support the team's sales process through client outreach, and understand the importance of IRM for seamless client solutions. The role requires active participation in leadership routines, continuous learning of products and services, adherence to internal controls and risk management policies, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, facilitating courteous conversation, and conducting complex and standardized transactions while uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions including ATMs, Online and Mobile banking.
  • Support team sales process by participating in client outreach through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to ensure seamless delivery of expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service, and product knowledge meetings and applicable training.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of all changes in policies and procedures.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
  • Handles proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
