About The Position

The Universal Banker PT position is a regular, part-time role (20 hours per week) requiring English fluency and a 1st shift work schedule. This role focuses on providing excellent client service by efficiently completing transactions, identifying client needs, and supporting sales activities. The Universal Banker will also assist with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities, educating clients on digital banking solutions, and participating in team sales processes. A key aspect of the role involves understanding and applying Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions. The position requires active participation in leadership routines, continuous learning of products and services, adherence to internal controls and risk management policies, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking client offers, and identifying needs or opportunities.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings and training.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
