About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a regular, part-time role (20 hours per week) requiring English fluency. The primary responsibilities include efficiently completing client transactions with accuracy, providing superior customer service by understanding client financial needs, and supporting sales and service activities. This includes assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The role involves engaging clients, educating them on digital solutions, supporting the sales process through outreach, understanding IRM, participating in leadership routines, and continuously advancing product knowledge. Adherence to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies is crucial. The Universal Banker also serves as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions (ATMs, Online and Mobile banking).
  • Support team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying/fulfilling client needs or referring them to specialists.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings and training.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
