About The Position

This role is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and professionally, providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service. The Universal Banker develops customer relationships by sharing product knowledge and services, leading to product delivery or referrals. They must exhibit proficiency in completing banking transactions while adhering to established processes and procedures. This position also serves as a backup for other roles and performs other assigned duties. The employee is expected to enhance their career through work experience and continuing education, maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and participate in examinations, audits, and third-party reviews. A strong understanding of the Information Security Program and a high level of risk and security awareness are required. The role involves establishing a positive image for the Bank through community involvement and attending assigned meetings. Developing a working knowledge of the Bank's products and services through usage and training is crucial for providing quality customer service, building relationships, and exceeding expectations.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
One year of previous experience preferred.
Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Above average verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas, as business needs dictate.
Regular customer service problem solving using established variables.
