The Universal Banker serves as a full service, single point of contact in the branch for SouthState customers’ financial needs. The position operates in the dual capacity of a Teller and FSR providing exceptional customer service in both transactional and account management. The Universal Banker seeks to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships and is responsible for contributing to the financial growth of the bank. This role requires a strong understanding of banking regulations, including Regulation CC and Bank Secrecy Act, and the ability to explain customer-facing technology and enroll customers in self-service options. The position involves both teller duties, such as processing transactions, cashing checks, and balancing daily work, and FSR duties, including opening new accounts, explaining policies, and resolving customer issues. Additional responsibilities may include vault duties and increased approval limits.
