About The Position

Universal Associates are hardworking, self-motivated individuals with positive attitudes who provide a specialized banking experience and are empowered to recommend solutions for individual client’s needs. This role involves greeting clients enthusiastically, uncovering opportunities, making product and service recommendations, and delivering an exceptional banking experience. Universal Associates perform accurate transactions, client maintenance, account opening, and retail lending. They must follow all bank policies and operational procedures to ensure security and compliance, and meet or exceed performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Related experience and secondary education preferred.
Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Possess professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization.
Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
Ability to utilize telephone systems and possess good digital literacy including email, internet and intranet use.
Experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing system, cash advance machines and any other computer programs pertinent to performing job duties.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
May be required to lift 25 pounds in weight.
Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
Background screening will be conducted.

Consistently demonstrate courteous behavior, integrity, and a strong work ethic while representing the bank with a polished appearance and clear communication.
Open consumer and business deposit accounts.
Ability to uncover and originate consumer loans.
Maintain current registration with NMLS to originate home equity loans and lines.
Uncover and build upon Center of Influence and Networking Opportunities.
Maintain current registration with NMLS to originate purchase mortgages.
Actively participate in expanding skill sets and career paths by attending training programs, workshops, certifications, and educational resources relevant to the role.
