The Unit Support Coordinator provides guest information and supports the efforts of the unit staff. They perform designated duties under the supervision of a professional nurse and handle clerical and specific administrative tasks for the nursing unit. This role involves assembling patient records, answering phones and patient calls, ordering and ensuring delivery of supplies, timekeeping via Kronos, welcoming new patients and families to the unit, orienting them to patient/family areas, answering call lights, and other related functions as needed. The coordinator also assists unit leaders in disseminating pertinent information to the staff.
