About The Position

The Unit Support Associate cleans and maintains a safe environment in an assigned area and assists with activities that support the effective functioning of the unit or department. The role includes transporting patients and items, cleaning equipment and work areas, maintaining supplies, and responding to patient, family, and visitor needs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Hospital experience and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are preferred. The position offers a stated annual salary range of $50,476.54 to $50,476.54. Actual pay may depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Transports patients, supplies, laboratory specimens, blood, and other items as directed.
• Performs cleaning duties necessary for the orderly functioning of the unit or department; cleans unit-related equipment and handles garbage and trash disposal.
• Maintains patient safety and responds to patient, family, and visitor needs in a timely fashion.
• Maintains unit or department supply inventory in alignment with par levels; stocks and distributes supplies, instruments, and linens as appropriate.
