About The Position

Monitors inventory and equipment needed for direct patient care in multiple units. Acts as a liaison between nursing units and the materials department. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent plus specialized training.
Knowledge of equipment and supplies related to patient care.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Monitors par level resupply systems for appropriateness, adjusting as necessary with input and approval from manager.
Meets with all managers on a monthly basis to review unit-based par stocks and adjusts as necessary.
Receives monthly supply usage report and assists managers in identifying trends and reasons for variances.
Conducts physical inventory of supply locations.
Orders supplies and maintains nonclerical inventory for clinical areas.
Receives and documents incoming supply orders.
Puts away supplies neatly, safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Distributes special orders to managers as requested.
Restocks personal protection cabinets.
Communicates and cooperates with managers and materials management staff to maintain par supply levels as needed.
