About The Position

Inova Franconia-Springfield Healthplex, Emergency Room is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses. This is a Full-Time, Night shift position (7pm - 7am). During orientation, the nurse will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights). This Free-Standing Emergency Unit services the local community and offers 24-hour lab testing and radiology including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound, a 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio, emergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), ventilator trained nursing and EMT staff, board-certified emergency physicians, a supportive team environment, opportunity for advancement, a stroke certified parent hospital, and nurse autonomy.

Requirements

Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
BSN or Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of completing their BSN.
Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days of employment.
Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
BLS from American Heart Association required upon start.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention.
Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations.
Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization; can serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit.

Nice To Haves

Prefer candidates with 2 years plus of ED RN experience.
Strongly prefer Charge or Supervisory experience.
Strongly prefer current ACLS and PALS.
