About The Position

The Heart Hospital Pre/Post Opp Unit is a fast-paced, high-volume unit looking for a skilled Unit Secretary. This position is located at Texas Health Heart Hospital in Arlington, TX. The role involves performing all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patients, and other customers, demonstrating organizational skills, and communicating effectively. Interactions require consideration for patient population-specific needs, and the employee will take action to reduce or eliminate patient risks. Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is a separately licensed facility on the campus of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, featuring a 47-bed hospital with a 20-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and a 27-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The hospital is accredited for Chest Pain by The Joint Commission, has earned the American Heart Association’s Gold Plus Award, and its CVICU and Cardiac Telemetry Unit have received the Silver-level Beacon Award. It is rated 5 stars by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Specialties include CABG, valve surgeries, Impella and IABP support, and various lung procedures, as well as comprehensive cardiac care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency, if applicable.
  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Healthcare experience is preferred.
