About The Position

The Maternity Unit Secretary plays a critical role in the smooth operation of a healthcare unit by providing essential administrative and clerical support to medical staff and patients. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures in coordination with medical staff.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between healthcare providers, patients, and other hospital departments.
  • Manage the flow of paperwork and electronic documentation to support clinical operations.
  • Assist with admitting and discharging patients, including completing necessary forms.
  • Maintain inventory of office and medical supplies and place orders when necessary.
