About The Position
The Unit Secretary - GI Lab - Days position is a full-time role located in Arlington Heights. The hourly pay rate ranges from $18.84 to $27.32, determined by factors such as expertise and years of experience. The role involves entering department-specific patient treatments and charges, assisting the care team with patient activities and services, and coordinating communication between the care team, physicians, patients, and family members. In ancillary areas, the Unit Secretary may also coordinate and schedule patient procedures using the hospital’s scheduling system. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer literacy and experience with PC applications.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one-year data or order entry experience using a computer preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Enters department specific patient treatments/charges to facilitate management of the patient healthcare record.
- Assists the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
- Assists in coordinating communication and resources between care team, physicians, patients and family members.
- In ancillary areas, may coordinate and schedule department specific patient procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system.
