About The Position

This position is for a Unit Secretary on the 3E/G unit at Blodgett Hospital. This unit is composed of two separate units but functions as one team. 3E is a 24-bed Med/Surg unit with some Medical Orthopedic patients, while 3G is a 22-bed Orthopedic unit primarily serving Total Joint Replacement Patients. The team works on both units, providing experience with a variety of patient populations including Total Joint Replacement, Hip Fracture, Osteomyelitis, and other medical patients. The team is part of an exceptional Joint Replacement program, one of the largest and best in the nation, serving an average of 2,800 patients per year. The program has received and maintained Joint Replacement Disease Specific Certification from The Joint Commission. Blodgett Hospital is a community and teaching hospital with a history of providing high-quality, compassionate, and personalized medical care since 1846. It offers patient-focused inpatient care in 248 private patient rooms and outpatient services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Work Equivalent Required

Responsibilities

• Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards.
• Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment.
• Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.
