About The Position

The Unit Secretary/Intermediate Cardiac role at Texas Health Plano is a full-time position on the Intermediate Cardiac Department. This role involves performing all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patients, and other customers, demonstrating acceptable organizational skills, and communicating effectively. Interactions require consideration for patient population specific needs, and the employee must take action to reduce/eliminate patient risks. The department offers self-scheduling, opportunities for educational and career growth, and is described as fast-paced with a robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano has served its communities since 1991 as a 386-bed, full-service hospital, offering a range of specialties and undergoing expansion with a new patient tower and renovations. It is recognized as a Level II Trauma Facility, has a Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal Facility, is a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and holds accreditations from The Joint Commission. The hospital is Magnet-designated and features the DFW area's only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit. An on-site childcare center is available for working parents.
