Unit Secretary - Cardiovascular ICU / PCU - (PT Days)
About The Position
The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient workflow within the Cardiovascular ICU/PCU at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. The unit is a 16-bed in-patient unit that cares for post-operative cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients who no longer require intensive CVR monitoring. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- No Experience
Responsibilities
- Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.
- Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail.
- Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures.
- Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
