About The Position

Sodexo Energy & Resource is seeking a qualified Unit Safety Manager to drive a safety culture for an Oil & Gas client in Bartlesville, OK. This position is responsible for supporting safety management and compliance and ensuring legal compliance with all Federal (Provincial), State, and Local regulations. Requirements

  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting safety training, audits, and compliance assessments
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations and compliance standards (OSHA, EPA, and applicable local/state requirements)
  • Experience supporting or implementing safety programs and initiatives to reduce workplace incidents
  • Ability to monitor, analyze, and report safety metrics, including incident trends and injury data
  • Strong ability to develop and deliver engaging HSE training to diverse employee populations
  • Experience generating reports on safety performance, trends, and corrective actions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations teams and HSE leadership
  • Willingness to work in field environments and actively oversee safety practices
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of Management Experience
  • 1 year of related functional experience

Responsibilities

  • Educate employees on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) topics and conduct regular training sessions as needed
  • Help with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental audits to ensure compliance and identify potential safety hazards
  • Review and enforce the proper implementation of safety procedures such as controlling hazardous energy, managing confined spaces, fall prevention, and other specific safety hazards (asbestos, lead, GHS, etc.)
  • Work with the HSE leadership to help assess the effectiveness of the safety programs, using data to back up findings
  • Provide continuous support and guidance to staff regarding safety procedures and actions
  • Take direction from the Senior HS&E Manager while supporting overall safety management and accident prevention
  • Keep track of accident trends, and injury types, and generate progress reports
  • Facilitate corrective actions based on accident trends
  • Oversee the implementation of safety measures, training staff, and ensure clear communication and thorough reporting on safety
