About The Position

The Unit Movement Officer Deployment Planning Course (UMODPC) Instructor will conduct classes providing academic instruction in accordance with the Program of Instruction (POI). Responsibilities include preparing class schedules, grading tests and practical exercises, providing remedial assistance, and administering End of Course critiques. The instructor will also perform classroom reset, review and update POI and Lesson Plans, review the Individual Student Assessment Plan (ISAP) with students, verify and correct class rosters, monitor students, evaluate performance, and prepare and forward student counseling documentation. Additionally, the instructor must attend TC AIMS II software update training to maintain technical competency with deployment automation systems and stay current with Army doctrine changes and courseware updates.

Requirements

  • Secret Clearance
  • Completion of CFDIC
  • One year experience as Military/Civilian facilitator/instructor in military service environment
  • One year of college
  • Course completion certificate from the UMODP course or ability to take the course and pass the course scoring 90% or higher
  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)
  • Ability to perform duties requiring moderate lifting (not to exceed 45 lbs.), long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and enduring inclement weather conditions on occasion
  • Three years of experience with UMODPC
  • Two years of experience using the automated deployment systems (TC-AIM II, ICODES)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct classes providing academic instruction IAW the Program of Instruction (POI).
  • Prepare class schedules.
  • Grade tests and practical exercises.
  • Provide remedial assistance.
  • Administer End of Course critiques.
  • Perform classroom reset to include readying training aids, powering on system computers and ensuring the class is operational.
  • Review POI and Lesson Plans to remedy any deficiencies or shortcomings by making red-line changes.
  • Review the Individual Student Assessment Plan (ISAP) with the students.
  • Verify information on the class roster and make corrections.
  • Monitor students, evaluate performance, prepare and forward student counseling documentation.
  • Attend TC AIMS II software update training to maintain current technical competency with the deployment automation systems.
  • Maintain full technical competency on rapidly updated automated systems and apply emerging tactics, techniques and procedures associated to Army doctrine change or updates to formal courseware.
