About The Position

The primary function of this position is to lead and mentor the direct support professionals on an overnight shift.

• Maintain program materials and equipment.
• Implement mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of St. Joseph's Center.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship with coworkers and supervisors.
• Create an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust within the facility.
• Be flexible to changes in duties, priorities, methods and environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the orientation of new staff and ongoing staff development.
• Assure that adequate staff ratios are in place, cross train employees, and assist in the management of employee absences.
• Assists in the development of program plans and be an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensures that a safe environment is provided and maintain program materials and equipment.
• Assists in interviewing and onboarding new Direct Support Professionals.
• Monitor and train DSPs on Shift Responsibilities and update as needed.
• Participates in in-service training and in team meetings.
• Implements mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of St. Joseph's Center.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship with coworkers and supervisors and creates an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust within the facility.
• Is flexible to changes in duties, priorities, methods and environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
