About The Position
Harmony Waterloo is seeking a Unit Manager to join their team in Skilled Nursing. This role is instrumental in managing the operations of an assigned unit, ensuring residents receive a high standard of care. The Unit Manager will supervise clinical staff, provide guidance and education, foster a positive culture, maintain infection prevention practices, and ensure adequate staffing.
Requirements
- Unencumbered State of Iowa (or compact state) Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- CPR Certification
- Two (2) years of RN/LPN experience
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit
- Five (5) years of RN/LPN experience
Responsibilities
- Managing operations of your assigned unit
- Supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit
- Providing guidance and education to clinical staff
- Assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture
- Ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained
- Ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs
