About The Position
Join our compassionate care team at Providence Healthcare! We are currently hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Manager who enjoys working with residents and managing/supporting a strong nursing team in a skilled nursing environment.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse graduate from accredited school of nursing.
- Current & valid RN license in the state of Indiana
- 1 year administrative nursing experience.
- 2 years geriatric or long-term care experience.
Responsibilities
- Organize, Supervise and Evaluate Resident Care
- Facilitate communication among and between family members, residents, staff members, and management
- Notify appropriate contacts during change of condition of a resident
- Assure facility medical records, policies and procedures are adhered to
- Other duties as assigned.
- Identify learning needs of staff members and inform Director of Nursing and Staff Development Nurse
- Monitor rate of accidents and infection rate and develop plans of correction
- Complete monthly and weekly reports are needed
- Participate in probationary and annual performance evaluations
- Monitor and assure care plans are current and accurate
- Be prepared for and attend care plan meetings
- Assure physician’s statements are reviewed, complete, signed/dated
- Notify Director of Nursing when staffing in not sufficient
- Assure completion of weekly, periodic and discharge summaries
- Participate in state surveys as necessary
- Directing and supervising the nurses and other staff members on their unit.
