About The Position
At Avalon Care Center Bellingham, you'll have the opportunity to serve in a unique dual-role position that combines nursing leadership with admissions coordination at a facility committed to exceptional resident care and quality outcomes. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys both leading nursing teams and helping new residents transition smoothly into their new home.
Requirements
- Current Washington RN license (or NLC-eligible)
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience required
- Knowledge of nursing practices and long-term regulations
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with admissions, resident intake, or care transitions preferred
- Leadership experience or strong leadership potential
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the admission process and help ensure smooth resident transitions into the facility
- Complete admission assessments and required documentation
- Educate residents and families on admission procedures, care plans, and facility services
- Lead and support the nursing team
- Help ensure residents receive high-quality care and positive clinical outcomes
- Coordinate care with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Support staff development and maintain compliance with facility standards
