About The Position

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry (ULSD) is seeking to hire a Unit Human Resources Specialist III. This position performs a wide range of HR administrative functions including talent acquisition, consultation, data analytics, employee training and development, and project management. The role involves providing full-cycle talent acquisition to meet hiring and onboarding processes for faculty and staff, offering HR support and consultation to ULSD staff, faculty, and leaders. The specialist will analyze data trends and metrics, prepare reports, research and enforce policies for compliance, manage HR projects, and serve as a liaison with main campus HR for FMLA, workers' compensation, and benefits administration. Additionally, the role focuses on improving work relationships, building morale, increasing productivity and retention, facilitating training and development plans, participating in employee engagement initiatives, monitoring workforce and succession planning, and assisting with payroll duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full cycle talent acquisition to meet hiring and onboarding processes for faculty and staff.
  • Provide HR support to faculty and staff.
  • Provide HR consultation and guidance to ULSD staff, faculty and leaders.
  • Analyze data trends and metrics and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Research, monitor, and enforce policies to ensure compliance with applicable internal policies/procedures and legal requirements.
  • HR project management.
  • Liaison with main campus HR to administer FMLA, workers compensation and benefits.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Facilitate training and development plans on a variety of human resources topics and maintain records of participation.
  • Participate in employee engagement planning and execution.
  • Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
  • Assist with payroll duties as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
