About The Position

This entry-level, paid, full-time position offers comprehensive training and mentorship to develop essential skills in resident care, preparing trainees for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam. The role provides an opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of aging guests and their families, with guaranteed employment upon licensure. The position is located at 154 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, New York, 12414, with a class schedule of Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2 pm.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Passion for healthcare and a desire to learn and grow in a Long-Term Care setting
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Engage in training programs to gain knowledge of healthcare protocols and procedures
- Learn and apply fundamental nursing skills under supervision
- Assist nursing staff in providing daily care to residents
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well-being of residents
