About The Position

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is a 560-bed teaching hospital. The Labor and Delivery department is a 24-hour inpatient unit consisting of 12 Labor-Delivery-Recovery suites, 4 Perinatal suites, 6 Antepartum suites, 3 Operating suites, a 4 bed recovery room and a 7 station triage area. Labor and Delivery provides Inpatient and outpatient low and high-risk perinatal care, prenatal testing and treatment, antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care, transitional and normal newborn care and pregnancy loss services. The Unit Clerk provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units. They facilitate efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. They support patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care. They provide reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three to six months previous related experience
