Requirements

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous clerical, administrative, or healthcare support experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support for scheduling, admitting, medical records, discharge planning, and secretarial functions for the department.
• Greets patients, families, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Initiates codes, paging requests, and overhead announcements as needed.
• Performs clerical duties such as copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies.
• Follows patient safety protocols, including restraints, seizure precautions, and fall precautions.
• Assists with safe patient transport in accordance with established procedures.
• Responds to patient call lights, triage routine versus urgent needs, and assist licensed staff and CNAs as directed.
