About The Position

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is a 560-bed teaching hospital recognized by IBM Watson as a Top 100 Hospital and #1 Teaching Hospital. Trinity Health is a leading Catholic health care system operating in 22 states. The 3N Mother Baby Unit provides individualized care to postpartum women and newborns. The patient population includes women in the early postpartum period and their normal newborns, women who chose to be cared for on the MB unit following a newborn loss, and women who are readmitted to the hospital within 6 weeks postpartum. This inpatient unit consists of 34 adult beds and 42 nursery beds. The Unit Clerk, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, provides support for patients, visitors, and colleagues on the assigned nursing unit. This role facilitates efficient patient throughput, including admissions, discharges, and transfers. The Unit Clerk also supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance, and overall environment of care. Additionally, the role provides reception-type services to patients, families, visitors, and other unit guests.

Requirements

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• Three to six months previous related experience
