Unit Clerk - Outpatient (PT)
About The Position
Performs general clerical, secretarial, and unit clerk duties in accordance with established procedures of Clive Behavioral Health. Required to display a professional attitude in all aspects of his/her performance. Clive Behavioral Health West opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources.

Responsibilities
- Maintains supply and accuracy of all forms and patient packets.
- Effectively communicates with patients, family members, co-workers and any contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answers phone within 3 rings and directs calls and messages appropriately.
- Accurately analyzes, interprets and transcribes physician orders.
- Files information accurately within the medical record/hospital filing system.
- Ensures Releases of Information are faxed in a timely basis while maintaining HIPAA and Clive protocol.
- Completes the Census form daily for accuracy.
- Ensures employees in department have a mailbox and removes termed employee mailboxes.
- Assists Supervisor with clerical support to assure needs of unit are satisfied.
- Performs various other duties as assigned or requested.
