About The Position

Park Place of St. John, a Senior Living Community, located in St. John, IN is seeking a Unit Clerk/Activities Assistant, Part Time. Park Place of St. John is a member of the Providence Life Services family where we are committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve! This is a hybrid position that will work as a Unit Clerk every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00AM-3:00PM and work as a Activities Assistant every other Saturday and Sunday from 9:00AM-3:00PM.

Requirements

Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete a reference check.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years previous experience as an Activities Assistant or Life Enrichment in a retirement and or assisted living setting is preferred.
Experience in Memory Care is a plus.

Responsibilities

Complete necessary medical and administrative records upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
Process requests for Medical Records.
Work with administrator for credentialing and maintaining credentials of physicians.
Prepare residents charts for monthly physicians’ visits as necessary; and file labs, etc., in patient’s charts.
Assist in planning and running activity programs.
Encourage residents to participate in scheduled activity programs.
Create a positive atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and fun.
Befriend residents to encourage resident self-esteem.
Promote an environment of safety.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
Display patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and the ability to incorporate these every day into all you do with the residents.
