About The Position

As a Unit Builder at Sealy Mattress Manufacturing, you will be responsible for the assembly of mattress spring units and various components, ensuring high-quality construction and adherence to production standards. This role is crucial to the initial stages of mattress creation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred, particularly with repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret basic assembly instructions and diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred, particularly with repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mattress spring units accurately and efficiently according to specifications and blueprints.
• Operate various machinery and hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks.
• Perform quality checks on assembled units to identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all tools and materials are stored appropriately.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production quotas and schedules.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or material shortages to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with other production tasks as needed to support overall manufacturing operations.
