The Unit Assistant role involves completing secretarial duties for assigned areas, including chart assembly, answering telephones, directing visitors, copying, faxing, sorting, filing, and mailing. This position also requires contacting physicians to ensure timely visits, reporting noncompliance, and maintaining resident rosters. The Unit Assistant will assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges. Additionally, the role may involve performing resident care duties according to Certified Nurse Aide standards, such as meal service, bathing, dressing, and personal care, as well as responding to call lights. The Unit Assistant must adhere to McLaren Health System Standards of Conduct, facility policies, and federal, state, and local regulations. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer position.
