About your role: You will lead all Unisys ClearPath MCP OS, Network, and other major software release planning and implementations. You will also configure, plan and manage system hardware upgrades and act as a technical lead on larger projects.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience on Unisys MCP systems
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering in a Master Control Program (MCP) operating system environment, EMC disk subsystems, Work Flow Language (WFL), Communication Management System (COMS)
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows, Data and Structure Definition Language (DASDL), and Open Distributed Transaction Processing (DTP)
  • 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, including designing and implementing scalable
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

  • COBOL experience
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and maintaining procedures to collect performance metrics and produce system performance and capacity reports
  • Perform analyses (e.g., performs technical research to assess system performance and capacity)
  • Manage and maintain 24x7 uptime on the mainframes including client related connectivity, application and platform issues
  • Research products, solutions, technologies, and apply results to create presentations and documentation
  • Establish and implement auditing standards and present evidence to the auditors (internal and external) for CAS, PCI, FFIEC, and SOC assessments
  • Identify system performance bottlenecks and recommending performance improvement solutions
  • Collaborate with business leaders to provide support, advice, and guidance on the correct application of products and technology solutions
  • Apply technical expertise to support the deployment of technology architecture and the total system solution
