Union Stationary Engineer Local 39-JLL What this job involves: As a Maintenance Electrician, you are at the core of our operations, ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of all electrical systems and equipment within our client's facility. Your role involves performing critical maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and executing installations that keep the facility running smoothly and efficiently. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance electrician or similar role in a commercial or industrial setting .
  • Membership in good standing with IUOE Local 39, or willingness to join
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Physical strength and dexterity to work with electrical components and equipment in various locations and positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical maintenance is preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose complex electrical problems by analyzing wiring diagrams, tracing circuits, and using specialized testing equipment to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Install, connect, and upgrade electrical equipment and systems in accordance with blueprints, technical specifications, and all relevant electrical codes.
  • Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to safety codes and industry standards, proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and equipment history, and generate reports as needed.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or system failures, to diagnose the cause and implement repairs to restore normal operations.
