About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to join their team. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on a variety of equipment, including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment, and potentially large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. The position offers opportunities to build skills, develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management, and work in a safety-focused environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
5 + years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
Experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
