This is a 2nd shift position, Monday-Friday, from 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm. The wage is $23.50/hour. This is a union position with union fees. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Must possess carpentry skills and knowledge of working carpentry tools
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Team player with the aptitude for multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and building relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrates initiative and flexibility
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective time management.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10+ hour work shifts
  • Some roles require regularly lifting 40+ lbs.
  • All positions require being able to consistently bend, twist, squat and reach throughout work shift

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing, Mill shop, Construction and Carpentry Experience (Preferred).
  • Experience positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Willing to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Works in a safe manner always and consistently provide a safe work environment.
