Uninsured Motorist Specialist (English or Spanish Bilingual)
About The Position
Afni is hiring Uninsured Motorist Specialists to join our growing Subrogation team. This position offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn monthly performance bonuses. Spanish-bilingual employees receive an additional $1.00 per hour bilingual differential. Based on performance, potential monthly bonus earnings may average approximately $1,500 (actual bonus amounts will vary and are not guaranteed). Whether your background is in collections, customer service, insurance, negotiations, or call center operations, we will provide the training and support you need to develop your skills and succeed in this role. This position may be performed on a hybrid schedule at our Bloomington, IL headquarters or remotely.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Professional, goal-oriented mindset with a commitment to integrity
Nice To Haves
- Collections experience
- Customer service or call center experience
- Insurance, claims, or subrogation experience
- American Collectors Association certification
- Formal training in insurance claims or claims law
- Spanish-bilingual communication skills
Responsibilities
- Negotiating payment plans, settlements, and account resolutions
- Communicating with claimants, insured parties, attorneys, adjusters, and other stakeholders
- Investigating claims and evaluating recovery opportunities
- Reviewing case files and maintaining accurate documentation
- Researching applicable regulations and state laws related to subrogation recoveries
- Locating parties and developing effective recovery strategies
- Maintaining compliance while delivering exceptional customer service
- Helping maximize recoveries for our clients through positive resolutions
