As a Uniformed Security Officer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people worldwide. Here, you will make an impact by monitoring, operating, interpreting, and interacting with multiple technical tools to detect threats and risks to 3M’s personnel, assets, and reputation globally. You will manage incidents and emergency situations, including the execution of procedures, coordination of resources, and on-scene response. You will also monitor and evaluate global geopolitical issues that could affect business operations or the security of personnel and assets, including terrorism, violent crime, natural disasters, travel issues, criminal trends, civil unrest, and workplace violence. This role involves assisting in maintaining, populating, and evaluating intelligence databases and sources, conducting regular monitoring of online open source intelligence, social media platforms, the darkweb, and vendor tools for known and potential threats to 3M locations, employees, travelers, or assets and emerging incidents. You will provide professional and effective customer service to global internal and external customers, perform campus and building security patrols, and complete incident and activity reports in a clear and concise manner. Training for basic First Aid/CPR and AED will be provided. You will also provide escorts to employees and visitors, as necessary, and carry out all job duties and responsibilities in compliance with corporate policies and departmental procedures and standards. This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history.
