About The Position
The uniform production- tunnel operator is a full-time position. working 4–10-hour days, Monday through Thursday (most weeks), from 6a to 430pm. The tunnel operator is responsible for properly hanging garments so they can be sent through a tunnel dryer.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for 10 hours shifts.
- Ability to use both hands repetitively.
- Ability to move/push/pull and carry up to 25 lbs. consistently.
- Ability to multi-task.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate, follow through, & follow up in both verbal & written form.
Responsibilities
- Properly hang garments so they can be sent through a tunnel dryer.
- Visually inspect garments for tears, buttons, id tags, zippers, stains, emblems and all other defects.
- Tag garment for repair.
- Assist in tunnel set-up (line speed, correct temperature).
- Audit 2x/day (25-piece grab).
Benefits
- Signing bonus of $600, with partial pay out after 9 weeks and 6 months.
- Pay increases at 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months.
