This is an entry-level underwriting role, typically suited for a college hire, trainee, or graduate scheme participant. Under the direct supervision of your manager, you will support the underwriting and management of treaties across LMRe US Standard/ Specialty Casualty and/or US Property segments. You will develop foundational underwriting skills, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and gain familiarity with GRS/LMRe’s business plan, underwriting guidelines, associated processes and procedures. You will also secure strong familiarity with all US underwriting/actuarial/claims systems, Salesforce, Data warehouses, Power BI tools, etc. to provide teamwide support. Additionally, you will assist in the development of comprehensive portfolio monitoring tools and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across property and casualty lines, using available internal and external data/analytics to optimize portfolios and assess trends, risks, and opportunities. You will provide comprehensive support for addressing and detailing internal portfolio-related queries from various internal departments, including tasks such as quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and ad hoc requests.
