About The Position

The Underwriting Corporate Internship Program is a 10.5-week, full-time summer internship designed to provide immersive, hands-on underwriting experience, help interns understand the role of a full-time underwriter, and serve as the primary pipeline into the Underwriting Leadership Development Program (ULDP). The program starts on May 24, 2027, and concludes on August 5, 2027. (Dates are subject to change) This is a hybrid, Hartford-based internship with interns generally expected to be in the Hartford, CT office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week to support in-person programming, team engagement, and a cohesive intern experience. The other two days each week will be remote. The hourly rate for this role is $26/hour, based on a 40-hour work week. Interns will not work on July 4, a company holiday, and will receive two days of paid leave. Additionally, successful interns are strongly positioned for consideration for future full-time opportunities with CVS Health, including the Underwriting Leadership Development Program. Interns are supported throughout the summer by a day-to-day manager, team mentor, ULDP buddy, and program leadership. Sponsorship: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs. Relocation: CVS Health follows a hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that need to move over 50 miles. At Aetna, a CVS Health company, our Underwriting organization plays a critical role in developing sustainable, competitive health care solutions that balance customer needs, risk management, and long-term business performance.
